ABOUT DEAN BORGHI
Dean Borghi has dedicated over twenty-six years to the art world, cultivating a profound expertise and passion for fine art. His journey began at a young age when he worked at his father’s gallery and attended art exhibitions as early as nine years old. He later took on a part-time role in the gallery, which laid the foundation for his lifelong career. Upon completing his education in 1989, he immediately began working full-time in the industry. His first major project involved researching and contributing to the catalogue for an exhibition on the esteemed French academic artist William-Adolphe Bouguereau.
During his tenure at Borghi & Company, Dean gained invaluable experience in curating exhibitions, managing art acquisitions, collaborating with prestigious auction houses across the globe, and assisting private collectors in assembling significant collections. He played a pivotal role in organizing exhibitions featuring renowned artists such as George Inness, Giorgio de Chirico, and Joaquín Torres-García.
In 1995, following his mother’s decision to retire, Borghi & Company closed its doors. Determined to continue his work in the field, Dean established Dean Borghi Fine Art in 1996. Since then, he has remained committed to working with private collectors while also collaborating with some of the most esteemed galleries and artists in New York. With over a quarter-century of experience, his dedication to art continues to flourish, driven by a deep appreciation for its history, value, and impact.
Today, Dean Borghi Fine Art is supported by a dedicated team, notably sales coordinators Olivia Hattiangadi and Moon Lijewski, who assist in client relations, acquisitions, and gallery management.
