June Lathrop was born in Buffalo, New York in 1920, and graduatePratt Institute, Brooklyn, New York. While alive Lanthrop was a member of the Camino Gallery, East 10th Street, New York.  In 1978-1979 she was the recipient of CAPS grant and began to experiment with mixed media in 1981. Her paintings appear in private collections and at the New York State Veterans' Home, Oxford, New York. Notable exhibitions she has been connected with are; 8-person show, "Some Paintings to Consider," at the Santa Barbara Museum of Art;10th Street Days Show, Soho, New York; Travelling Show selected by Dore Ashton and New York State Gallery Association ;Group Show Oct. - Nov. 1979, State University of New York College at Cortland, New York; 2-person show at Small Walls Gallery, New York, New York; Group show at the Henri Gallery, Washington, D.C and Group Show at Jan Weiss Gallery, New York, New York Dec. 14- Jan. 31, 1992
